Introduction: LARPING for a Vision – Dead Forms and Zombie Ideas
“Today, story-telling occupies a profane place in our culture and moves like maggots through the corpses of dead artforms. To a large degree, story-telling media like novels and films have devolved into passive consumerist endeavors to stave off boredom and impart catharsis, a salve for loneliness and an antidote to modern ennui.”

“It should be apparent that living traditionally is no easy task. It’s not a matter of a woman wearing a dress and doing a photo shoot in a wheat field, and it’s not simply a man being the bread winner. It’s a different approach to living altogether that will likely be more difficult and require more work than living a conventional or modern lifestyle.”
Bryan Caplan on the Case Against Education
In this podcast, economist Bryan Caplan argues that governments should stop subsiding higher education in order to make the American economy more productive. The value of a college degree is that it signals to employers you’re a good worker. This sorting system for the labor market pushes young adults to spend four years pursuing a degree, wasting the time of the young and government tax dollars, he argues. It’s a great interview and Caplan is an amazing debater. He comes into this interview with tons of research and original arguments. By the way, this was done in 2018!
